The Gaza Benefit Concert is an opportunity to raise our voices for the voiceless people of Gaza, who are suffering horrifically from Israel's brutal attack on their neighborhoods.
Thank you for your support!
Pictures and video from the concert are coming soon. to share your feedback on the event.
Why Are We Doing This?
In only three weeks, the invasion of Gaza has claimed the lives of 1,200 Palestinians and 13 Israelis. We believe that military action and senseless killing on both sides are not the answer to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Music is a powerful tool of creativity, reflection and action. Through this apolitical event, we hope to raise awareness of the conflict, raise funds for humanitarian relief, and mobilize the public to action.
About the MPAC Foundation
Our vision is to educate fellow Americans with an accurate understanding of Islam.
Our mission is to engage in the research and development of issues related to human rights, democracy and pluralism; to educate all Americans regarding the teachings of Islam; and to serve the Muslim American community and promote the Islamic values of mercy, justice, peace, human dignity, freedom, and equality for all.
So What Is This About?
The Muslim Public Affairs Council Foundation will hold a Gaza Benefit Concert on Saturday, January 24th at USC Bovard Auditorium (map to USC Bovard Auditorium) to raise awareness of current crisis and raise money to provide humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.
Bringing together musicians, actors and civic leaders, the Gaza Benefit Concert is an opportunity to raise our voices for the voiceless people of Gaza, who are suffering horrifically from Israel's attack on their neighborhoods. The event is organized by the MPAC Foundation and all proceeds will benefit Islamic Relief & KinderUSA, two humanitarian organizations who are working on the ground in Gaza today.
Islamic Relief and KinderUSA are locally based organizations who are already working on the ground in Gaza to provide food, medicine and other much-needed supplies to the 1.5 million residents of Gaza.
Beneficiary Organizations
Islamic Relief, named a "Four Star Charity" by Charity Navigator (America's largest charity evaluator), has been helping the Palestinian people since 1994, providing food aid, medical relief, small business loans, and orphan sponsorships, among other services. Since opening its Gaza City office in 1998, Islamic Relief has also established educational enhancement centers, care programs for psychologically traumatized children and a school for the deaf.
KinderUSA is a non-profit organization founded in 2002 by a group of American physicians and humanitarian relief workers. KinderUSA is an accronym for Kids in Need of Development, Education, and Relief that strives to develop creative solutions to long-standing problems believing that all children are entitled to their inherent rights of survival, health, shelter and education. KinderUSA puts into action programs to ensure these rights are not forgotten.
